Planning for the Spanish Trail District 2004 Cub Scout Day Camp has =
begun.

The camp will start Monday June 7 and end Friday June 11, 2004.
=20
The location of the Day Camp will be announced after a written agreement =
has
been obtained.
=20
There are several things that I need help with from both Boy Scout and =
Cub
Scout Leaders.
=20
1-Camp Theme, If you have an idea of what the Camp theme could be, =
please
email me with your idea. I am also interested in what types of =
activities
you think we should do that go along with your theme. We also will need
artwork for the camp shirts and patches that reflect the theme.
=20
2-Archery and BB guns, I need volunteers to be Range Masters for both =
the
Archery Range and the BB gun Range. You will need to be a registered =
adult
leader and complete the BSA Range Master training. We are planning to =
run
both ranges from 8:30 am until 2:00 pm Monday through Thursday and =
possibly
Friday morning. Each range will have 12 stations. If you have Boy =
Scouts
who are at least 14 years old, we can use them to assist the Range =
Masters.
The Boy Scouts will also need to complete The BSA range training. Range
Training will be scheduled for 2004 in the near future.

3-Boy Scouts as Staff Members, If you have Boy Scouts that would like to
work at Day Camp to earn service hours, they will need to be at least 14
years old and First Class. The Summer Camp Director has told me that =
Scouts
with Day Camp work experience will be given preference over Scouts with =
out
the experience, all other things being equal, when it comes time to hire
staff.

4-Den Chiefs, If you have Scouts who are Den Chiefs, but are younger =
than
14, they can be Den Chiefs at Day Camp with there natural Dens.

5-Adult Staff, If you are a Registered Adult Leader and would like to =
work
on staff at the Day Camp, please let me know so we can find a position =
that
is suitable for your skills and experience. Please note that there must =
be
a Registered Adult from each pack for the first 1-5 cubs and a =
Registered
Adult for each additional 1- 5 cubs.

6-Camp Setup, All Adult Staff, Den Chiefs and Boy Scout Staff will need =
to
be available the afternoon of Sunday, June 6, 2004, to help setup camp =
and
complete Camp orientation/youth protection training.

7-Camp Breakdown, All Adult Staff, Den Chiefs and Boy Scout Staff will =
need
to be available Friday afternoon, June 11, 2004, to help break camp and
cleanup.

8-Donations or loans, If you have craft materials or other items that =
you
would like to donate or loan to our Camp, please let me know. The more =
that
we can get donated or borrow means that we can lower the cost of Camp.
