RECYCLE BASKETS FOR PACKS AND TROOPS
Help the environment by recycling cans and bottles with Recycle Baskets
made by local Cubs. Specially made wire Recycle Baskets are available
for Packs and Troops to use at any community events, sport activities,
and any public place where people use cans and bottles. Simply place
them out next to regular trash cans, pick them up after the event, and
sell the cans or recycle everything.
The Recycle Baskets were made by Pack 227 with money donated by Keep
Mobile Beautiful. The Cubs used them first at the Azalea Trail Run and
the Festival of Flowers. The Cubs collected thousands of cans and
created good will with crowds of local and out of town runners and
visitors.
The Recycle Baskets are free to borrow. Your Pack or Troop (or any
group) can check out up to 35 Baskets from the Mobile Recycling Drop-Off
Center at 1451 Government St. To reserve them, call Keep Mobile
Beautiful at 208-6029.
Why not adopt an event as your own to recycle: Mardi Gras, the Blessing
of the Fleet, Bayfest, Gulf State Fair? Or how about your neighborhood
block party, your church social, or your organization˙s fund raiser?
Wouldn˙t it be great if there were Recycle Baskets at every event in
Mobile? Wouldn˙t Mobile be a more beautiful place?
Pitch in and adopt an event by calling Keep Mobile Beautiful today!
