Early bird deadline for Summer camp is April 16, 2004. If your Troop is not planning on attending remember they do accept provisional campers. These could be boys that want an extra week of camp or might not be able to attend your camp of choice with your Troop. Contact the Council for more information. It starts at 7pm with a general session. Unit Commissioners will meet at 6pm. The Boy Scout breakout will focus on No Trace camping. Joy Levins says the Cub Scouts will have a session on Geocaching. Lt. Eddie Patrick of the Mobile Police is a devoted "geocacher" and he's going to teach us all about it, and will hide a cache somewhere on the church grounds and make us find it. It's going to be a blast, and something that cub scout dens love to do. He's bringing hand-outs with instructions and everything. Roundtable is held at Christ United Methodist Church on Grelot. I know an awful lot of folks have been praying for me and my family, and I greatly appreciate it. I am a Blessed man. My Doctors had prepared me for a wait of several months on an artificial heart assist device. Because of his Mercy and your prayers, I was only gone 35 days from start to finish. I am doing great and will start re-hab in about 2 weeks. I have the heart of a 34 year old Southeast Louisiana man and 6 units of Louisiana blood. My favorite foods are now crawfish and beignets. My wife has to go back to work Tuesday. This will greatly free me up. I hope to catch up with all of you real soon.
