Dear Scouters,

CAST IRON COOKOFF!

As it may appear next week we may all be using our Dutch Ovens more than
usual, if "Dennis" blows through. Please remember this exciting event on
Thursday if all is well on the storm front.

We will advise if there will be a cancellation.

This event is one of the three most exciting RT's of the year and for the
third year in a row we hope to learn and taste other scouters successful
dishes.

This event is open to Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts, and all other Ships, Crews,
Teams, or Posts.

The rules are:

1. scouts prepare the food and bring a written receipt for the dish to be
handed out to all those requesting a copy,

2. all but Cubs must cook the food to completion, Cubs can assist but not
handle the hot ovens or be endangered by the coals,

3. entries or desserts are acceptable,

4. patrols may make separate entries and prizes will be given to the
overall unit,

5. judges decisions are final,

6. all must have fun!

Prizes will be for:

1. (1) overall prize any unit is eligible,

2. (1) first prize for each Cub Scout unit/Den and Boy Scouts/patrol
only,

3. (1) second prize for each Cub Scout unit/Den and Boy Scouts/Patrol
only,

4. (1) third prize for Boy Scouts unit/Patrol,

5. ***********BAY BEAR TICKETS FOR ANY NIGHT*******************
30 AVAILABLE FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE, MUST COOK!

This has been great fun in the past and we need your support to keep the
Spanish Trails Tradition going!

Please contact any commissioner as to your plans for attendance so that
we'll know how many fires to prepare for and other things needed for the
night.

As you know it as been our commitment to provide dinner at every RT, this
one there will just be more variety. Please come!
