It is interesting that during our conversation yesterday you had no
knowledge of the particulars you have just conveyed, but now claim you knew
Bill Luc expressed that I resigned the week prior? No resignation has taken
place, and I am unaware of any BSA rules to which have been broken, or even
been warned about any policy deviations to which our district is guilty.
Hence, is there some other reason for which you would like to sweep me under
the rug, as has been done to others in the past?
1. Could it be related to my conversation with you about a UC who was
not acting in their job, while holding two other council positions, one with
you?
2. Could it be because our district held a Webelos Woods, under the
repeated "insistence" that we would, for the benefit of the boys, and with
repeated demands, we did, under pressure not to my Lloyd via the scout
office?
3. Was it because I tried to help a DE do his job, while understanding
your complaints, about his service, while I told you I'll work hard with any
DE, provided to me, while liking Lloyd? He did much, had the "scout spirit
of a young man" hard to find, with real grooming may have succeeded, did the
office really want this?
4. Was it because I tried to understand that district "members at large"
had many personal problems with the council, but I kept a "wait and see
approach" as opposed to defend your good name as individuals and as a
Council? good thing
5. There are numerous other items which could be mentioned none in the
least I hope is a reference that you have made on several occasions
referenced me "as your little Hawaiian boy."
6. Was it because I refused to consider removing a Roundtable email list
and avenue for which the scout office had no control, and the members could
post things which were important to them, including council events, while
still considering a plan by which the council finally admitted they had no
ability to monitor and manage a web-site of their own? When I called their
hand on the possibility of the creation of a Council site they said "...well
we're not prepared or equipped nor do we have the manpower to handle a
web-site..." I said why bother with ours then, it is owned by pack 133 and
Geoff Peacock manages it, it does not belong to BSA?
7. Could it have been that your despise for Michael O'Shea (old past
problem), since Jack Tomberlin gave him an assignment which was not well
received by the unit, but under his direction, and when it blew up, Jack
"rolled" Michael and has continued to do so. Apparently, his meeting with
you and Bill Luc, and having left with an understanding that all was well,
just this last week, played its own important role here as one of my Assist
District Commissioners, since I had earlier expressed by lack of desire to
dismiss Michael for your past differences, while he was assisting me well,
even if he wasn't able to "change from his US Army Uniform to a BSA uniform"
just prior to Roundtable meetings twice. I wonder who would have reported
that, other than one who had a vindictiveness towards Michael, but our own
Jack T, who interestingly never expressed a dislike towards Michael to me,
until after I was DC, seems like several interesting twists are here as
well, what are your thoughts on that one?
8. Scott Muller is another who I stood up for with a desire to correct
any past differences or pending problems, as I would for any member in the
District. WE ARE ALL VOLUNTEERS CAPABLE OF not knowing all that we should,
while also capable of serving the youth. How many previous experienced,
knowledgeable district volunteers have we run off or "shoved to the rear"
with the "politics" of this council?
9. Last possibility was it because of the large numbers of new youth and
units we signed up at roundups this year, or having a good working
commissioner staff, while yet short a few? How may members of the District
Committee Chairs are acting regularly? I believe the Commissioner staff has
been working without a Program Chair, Outdoor Chair, Activities Chair,
Membership Chair, Training Chair, all year! Sounds like having none inplace
to desent is preferred to any at all, who work hard?
As the professional I would have imagined you to be one who may
consider consulting with me before any action or confirmation of such
"resignation" was tendered, often I suppose too much. Your second paragraph
is quite hard to follow, I'm not sure who said what, to whom? Lloyd said I
resigned to whom and when? This is from the person that Bob Frederick, Bill
Luc, yourself, and Jack all have claimed to me lies regularly,
"resignation-incomplete stories", anything make since here, can we connect
the dots?
While you may want to replace me with someone else is not my current
argument, the manner to which you operate and others of whom you have
mentioned is absolutely appalling. It is not my place to determine the
burdens of others, "under my command," with those I work, or friends to
which I associate, it is however, my moral responsibility to be fair with
those I seek to have relationships, those I meet on the street, or worship
with. It is evident that this practice eludes the "Mobile Area Council
Executive" and others whom you may refer, including yourself.
Many times your "so called burdens" are responsibilities, hobbies, civic
service, individuals seek to provide to others, what is your actual service

Bob Fredrick is it necessary to lie to me on 10-31 of "... being in the
mountains and having a hard time hearing my call..." when you were actually
in your office in Mobile (a mountain of what alright?).
My burdens are those I choose to accept and are willing to concur, when
possible, others are for my mortal experience. I suppose this one is for my
mortal experience, and I know that I'll be the better for it, you guys, I am
not quite sure!

It is apparent that you are worried about the wrong-thing...don't worry

committee and upon the recommendation of the Scout Executive, I will be
recommending to the Council Executive Board Paul Roberts' name for District
Commissioner of the Spanish Trail District.
I was informed by Bill Luc last week that he had been told by Lloyd
Meyers, Spanish Trail District's Scout Executive, that you had informed him,
Lloyd Meyers, that you resigned your position as Spanish Trail District
Commissioner. After this conversation with Lloyd Meyers, he spoke with Bill
Luc, the Scout Executive and informed him of your decision to resign as the
District Commissioner, Spanish Trail District.
Based on the numerous e-mails, telephone conversations and personal
conversations, I have had with you and based on time constraints and
personal issues that you informed me about, I feel certain that this
situation has been one that others have considered and had concerns about
and have as I have thought that the position of District Commissioner was a
burden on both you and your family. I have personnally been quite concerned
about these matters and think that this is a good opportunity for you to
spend more time with your family and to have less stress in your life.
Both I and the Mobile Area Council, Boy Scouts of America appreciate your
continued time and support to the Scouting program.

been told by Lloyd Meyers, Spanish Trail District's Scout Executive, =

had informed him, Lloyd Meyers, that you resigned your position as =
Spanish=20
Trail District Commissioner. After this conversation with Lloyd =
Meyers,=20
he spoke with Bill Luc, the Scout Executive and informed him of your =
decision=20
to resign as the District Commissioner, Spanish Trail =
District.</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT face=3DArial size=3D2>Based on the numerous e-mails, =
telephone=20
conversations and personal conversations, I have had with you and =
based on=20
time constraints and personal issues that you informed me about, I =
feel=20
certain that this situation has been one that others have considered =
and had=20
concerns about and have as I have thought that the position of =
District=20
Commissioner was a burden on both you and your family. I have=20
personnally been quite concerned about these matters and think that =
this is a=20
good opportunity for you to spend more time with your family and to =
have less=20
stress in your life.</FONT></DIV>
