[Roundtable] Hi-Tech Hiking Boots

I got a pair of Hi-Tech leather, waterproof and insulated hiking boots for  
Christmas. They are dark brown in color and have been worn once. They are size 
8  1/2 Med and too tight for me with hiking socks on. Can anybody use them?
