2008 Cub Scout Day Camp
Theme: "Go for the Gold"
June 9 - 13, 2008
Just a reminder, the last day for a scout to register for Cub Scout Day Camp is Friday, May 23rd. We are already in the late registration period so the cost is $100 and we will not be able to accept registrations after May 23rd. We still have plenty of space available.
If you volunteer all 5 days at Day Camp, your son can receive a discounted fee of $45 but the last day to register is May 23rd. The registration forms and volunteer forms are located on the www.bsamobile.org website or our day camp website which is listed below. If you want to use your debit or credit card, just print the camper and/or volunteer form; write your card # and expiration date on the bottom of the form and then fax to the scout office. The fax # is 650-0298. They will mail a receipt to you. Or you can print and mail with a check. Just make sure it will arrive by next Friday. You can also take it down to the scout office on Government Street.
Something new and exciting this year is our very own website for the 2008 Day Camp http://stcubdaycamp.clubspaces.com This website is being updated frequently and should be your most accurate and up to date source of information for the 2008 Cub Scout Day Camp. You can find important dates to add to your calendar and photos from last year. The registration forms are also on the website.
We are looking for staff members for all areas of camp. (Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Parents to be Den Chaperones, Craft Helpers, BB, Archery and assist with our Olympic events on Friday, June 13th at camp.
The first Staff Training date will be Thursday, May 29th @ 6:30 pm at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. This training is necessary for all volunteers. A makeup date is scheduled for Sunday, June 1st at 2pm.
We need volunteers for Camp set up on Sunday, June 8th at 2pm at St. Vincent. Den Chaperones will be allowed to set up their den areas at this time.
We are looking for donations for Staff Lunches. Last year Zaxby’s, Sonny’s Bar-B-Que and Sam’s Super Burger donated lunches for all of our volunteers.
We are also looking for businesses that can donate ice and 5-gallon buckets with lids.
