We have a new website dedicated to the Spanish Trail District Roundtable.

On the home page you will find a new calendar for the Roundtable where we w=
ill post Council and Spanish Trail District events.
There is also a Roundtable News link that is in Blog format where we will p=
ost upcoming items of interest around the District.
Already there are articles about upcoming training events, Philmont 2009, F=
all Camporee and even a Scoutmaster's Minute.
If you have a news item you'd like to share with the District, or a favorit=
e Scoutmaster's Minute, use the Web Master link on the contact us page and =
send it to me.

Here are a few last-minute items pertaining to the upcoming Camporee:

Registration Deadline.
Don't forget that=A0the deadline for early registration for Camporee is Mon=
day, November 17.=A0 The fee will increase to $12.00 per=A0attendee after t=
hat date, so please get your registration into the office by the deadline.=

Insurance Verification.
Please bring verification of your unit accident insurance policy to check-i=
n on Friday night if you did not send it to the office at the time of pre-r=
egistration.=A0 UNITS WILL BE CHARGED AN ADDITIONAL $2.00 PER ATTENDEE AT C=

One more day and we'll be at the Camporee!=A0 I hope you are all as excited=
 as I am.

One thing that I have overlooked is the use of cookfires.=A0 We will be cam=
ping in the field adjacent to the Lodge, and therefore cannot use open fire=
s for cooking.=A0 Please be sure to prepare meals that require cooking on s=
toves.=A0 If you absolutely have to use a dutch oven, then please bring cha=
rcoal and be prepared to use it in some manner that does not leave a burn s=
car or any other sign of its use. Use dutch ovens inside a charcoal grill, =
=A0or a fire bowl, or some other method to Leave No Trace.=A0

Thank you for your cooperation with these guidelines, and I apologize for n=
ot thinking of it sooner.
