Friends:
Here are a few last-minute items pertaining to the upcoming Camporee:
Registration Deadline.
Don't forget that the deadline for early registration for Camporee is Monday, November 17. The fee will increase to $12.00 per attendee after that date, so please get your registration into the office by the deadline.
Insurance Verification.
Please bring verification of your unit accident insurance policy to check-in on Friday night if you did not send it to the office at the time of pre-registration. UNITS WILL BE CHARGED AN ADDITIONAL $2.00 PER ATTENDEE AT CHECK-IN IF THIS POLICY IS NOT PRESENTED.
Check-in and Vehicle Guidelines.
When you arrive next Friday, someone will meet you at the entrance to direct you to your camping area. Please send your Senior Patrol Leader and your Scoutmaster to the Administration building for check-in while the remainder of your unit unloads equipment and establishes camp. The camp requires that all vehicles are to be removed to the designated parking area once gear is unloaded on Friday night. Trailers can be detached from vehicles and left in the camping area if you so desire.
I am excited about the Camporee trhis weekend, and Iook forward to visiting with each of you on Friday the 21st! If you have any quyestions, please contact me at 604.4406.

Friends: One more day and we'll be at the Camporee! I hope you are all as excited as I am. One thing that I have overlooked is the use of cookfires. We will be camping in the field adjacent to the Lodge, and therefore cannot use open fires for cooking. Please be sure to prepare meals that require cooking on stoves. If you absolutely have to use a dutch oven, then please bring charcoal and be prepared to use it in some manner that does not leave a burn scar or any other sign of its use. Use dutch ovens inside a charcoal grill, or a fire bowl, or some other method to Leave No Trace. Thank you for your cooperation with these guidelines, and I apologize for not thinking of it sooner. I look forward to visiting with each of you on Friday! Jim Alexander Asst. Camporee Chairman
